Welcome
Riverside is a lovely 18th century thatched house in an idyllic, tranquil setting on the banks of the tidal River Dart.
It is an ideal place to unwind and just sit and watch the wildlife. There are some lovely walks along the river from the house, which is on the Dart Valley Trail. The ancient town of Totnes is ten minutes away, and Dittisham, Dartmouth and Salcombe are all within a half-hour drive. Also within easy reach is the Coastal Path, Dartmoor for walking or riding, and many splendid beaches.
Tuckenhay is a tiny village, but boasts two good pubs, both of them on the river. The nearest pub, The Maltsters, has frequent entertainment – jazz in the bar in the winter, and barbecues on the quay in the summer. Also in the village our friend Phil organizes great canoe trips.
